Influence of Concrete–Rock Bonds and Roughness on the Shear Behavior of Concrete–Rock Interfaces under Low Normal Loading, Experimental and Numerical Analysis

Direct shear tests were performed to study the influence of concrete–rock bonds and roughness on behavior interfaces. The results these show that concrete–hardrock interfaces depends micro-roughness driving formation strong macro-roughness accounting for surfaces interlocking. Based this outcome recent literature, a cohesive frictional model is used simulate direct bonded concrete–granite with explicit representation naturally rough simulations has good prediction capability compared experimental results, opening up pathway numerically based robust statistical analysis.
